Concerto & Larger Works
This Competition showcases students who are highly motivated and achieving professional level musicality. There are multiple divisions as well as performance levels to allow for all students to participate and grow through the concerto level repertoire.
Division & Repertoire Requirements:
Division 1 - 12 years old and under (10 minute adjudication)
Division 2 - 13 through 15 years old (10 minute adjudication)
Division 3 - 16 through 18 years old (15 minute adjudication)
Scholarship (Division 3 only): $300, $200, $100
Collegiate Division - 19 and above (15 minute adjudication)
PIANO:
One movement from any concerto by any composer.
2 grand pianos are provided. Bring your own collaborative pianist.
Recorded accompaniments are allowed if using the Music Minus One Tracks (or similar). These must be sent in mp3 format with the application.
VOICE:
Voice students are eligible to enter Division 3 and above.
10-12 minutes of 3 or more selections from within the same larger work or song cycle.
A grand piano is provided. Singers must provide their own accompanist.
OTHER INSTRUMENTALISTS::
Other instruments will open in coming years for participation.
