Junior Festival

NFMC Junior Festivals are designed to promote musical study, encourage an appreciation of American and world music literature, and inspire students to achieve a high standard of musical achievement. Participants may earn Gold Cup Trophies and monetary scholarships through Solo and Ensemble Events. Additional opportunities include Music Theory, Sight Reading, and Improvisation testing.

Whether you have one student or an entire studio, Junior Festival provides a rewarding opportunity to set meaningful goals, receive constructive evaluations from qualified adjudicators, and celebrate musical growth.

Returning teachers should complete the VCFMC Membership Application and submit the required membership fee by the annual membership deadline (typically August 1) to avoid late fees.

New teachers must complete membership before November 1 to participate in that year's Junior Festival.

To participate in the Junior Festival, each teacher must:

Select either Full Membership or Junior Club Membership on the application.

Submit the required membership fee.

Choosing a Junior Club Name – Your Junior Club Name may simply be your studio name or a creative name of your choosing.
